Understanding the codes. The codes generated can be used to find out what sensor in your vehicle could be faulting. The best way to find answers is to search Google with the code and your vehicle model.

 

Such as  "Honda Civic PO243" as an example.

 

By searching for your vehicle and the code received you can find out particular solutions other people have found.

Common Reasons for Check Engine Light:

  • Gas cap not on tight enough
  • Engine got wet or you washed your engine
  • Your spark plug wires are bad
  • Oxygen sensor need replacing
  • Poor quality fuel was used
