Ford Tempo OBDII Readers OBD2 Code Tool Scanner

Ford Tempo is a product of the Ford Motor Company that had four doors and was made from the Sedan car model in the year 1984 to 1994. The Ford Company made this car with the intentions to create an environmental friendly car that was fuel efficient and more modern styled to compete with other models that were coming up. It also had aircraft-inspired doorframes that stretched up over the edges of the roof improving sealing, gave allowance for hidden drip rails and cleaned up the A-pillar area. Even though the car sold very well, some renovations that saw it to be aerodynamic were made and a new model Ford Taurus was made. The ford vehicles used the electronic engine control but the 1991 tempo uses the forth generation of the system called EEC-IV. This is because an OBD-II scanner cannot be used in this car. However, there are code readers you can use for these EEC-IV vehicles that may be attached to the battery. There is the six-sided hood which is called the self test outlet or smaller six-sided slot also known as self test input and you need to connect both of this to the code reader. You may be required to connect your code reader to the battery if it has a lead that uses power.
