Ford maverick was a mid sized car that was manufactured from April 1969 to 1977 in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Its entry in the market was a 2-seater sedan that had cheap pop-out rear side windows rather than the roll down windows which were expensive. It was later on manufactured in Brazil in the year 1973 to 1979. This was the most successful car that sold more units on its first year than the original car mustang did. The engines that you could get were the 170, 200 and 250.in. sixes and the ever popular 302 V8. The car had a 3-speed column shifter mounted on it and an automatic transmitter that was optional. The Ford Maverick had some indicator lights that were designed in the car and which signaled the driver when the car had some mechanical problem.
